IRVINE, CALIF. (March 7, 2007). MBK Senior Living, the senior housing division of MBK Real Estate Ltd., has named Carl Knepler as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his position, Knepler directs and oversees all the sales and marketing activities of the company, including developing and implementing strategic sales plans, and reviewing market analyses to determine customer needs, as well as creating and executing comprehensive marketing plans and programs.

Prior to joining MBK Senior Living, Knepler served in key leadership roles for SL Start, a senior living company headquartered in Spokane, Washington. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, he implemented new sales programs to increase occupancy and was instrumental in the successful lease-up of new communities opening in California and Washington. As Vice President of Operations, he hired vital management personnel and implemented training to improve care and services to residents.
Before his roles with SL Start, Knepler was an administrator for Karrington Health, Inc. in Indiana, a senior housing company now part of the Sunrise Assisted Living family.

Knepler graduated from the University of Dayton, School of Law with his Doctorate of Jurisprudence and holds an Attorney’s license in Ohio. He is a RCFE and licensed nursing home administrator, and has taken courses on nursing home administration at Ohio State University. Knepler currently resides in San Marcos, California with his wife and three children.
